Welcome to the Association of Media and Communication Researchers of Nigeria (AMCRON). These Terms and Conditions govern your membership, participation in our events, and use of our website and services.
By accessing our services or applying for membership, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our services.
1. Membership and Eligibility
- Membership is open to media and communication researchers, academics, and professionals who meet the criteria established by the AMCRON Board.
- Applicants must provide accurate and complete information during the registration process.
- AMCRON reserves the right to approve, deny, or revoke membership at its sole discretion based on adherence to professional ethics and association bylaws.
2. Code of Professional Conduct
All members and participants are expected to maintain high standards of academic integrity and professional conduct. This includes:
- Respecting intellectual property rights and avoiding plagiarism.
- Engaging in respectful discourse during conferences, seminars, and on association platforms.
- Upholding the reputation of the association in all professional dealings.

4. Intellectual Property
The content provided by AMCRON, including logos, website materials, and association publications, is the property of AMCRON and protected by Nigerian copyright laws. Use of these materials without prior written consent is prohibited.
Researchers retain the copyright to their individual works presented at AMCRON events, but grant AMCRON a non-exclusive license to publish abstracts or proceedings in association journals or archives.
5. Limitation of Liability
AMCRON provides its services on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that the website or services will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, AMCRON shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your participation in association activities.
6. External Links and Third-Party Services
Our platforms may contain links to external academic journals, partner institutions, or third-party websites. AMCRON is not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party services.
7. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to our services or membership immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms and Conditions or the association’s bylaws.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Abuja, Nigeria.
